I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my glasses lately, so I thought I would share with you how to get your own pair for free! I also wanted to share a few of the other things I love.
First on the list, my hair bow from Anthropologie. It can be used as a barrette, or you can pin it on. I couldn’t bring all of my clothes with me to Brazil, so it’s nice to have an accessory thats so versatile. It can take a boring outfit and make it so much cuter. Anthropologie does not sell this version of it anymore, but they do have a similar one.
Second on the list is my nail polish from Essie. Last month my friend Kathy took me to get my nails done and I chose this color called Haute as Hello. It’s a great color for summer, especially because when your skin is a little tan, it really pops like a florescent. I bought my own bottle online as soon as we got home from the nail shop!
The jewels and string are for a bracelet I hope to have made here. I saw a bracelet on Pinterest that I loved, so I went to downtown LA to buy all of the materials. The people here in Jacobina that make & sell friendship bracelets are called hippies. I love how english words get translated here. Another good one is Black Power. That’s the word here for an afro.
Of course I had to feature my business card. I bought a deal on Groupon a few months ago, and ordered these cards just a few weeks before I left. I love how they turned out. You can’t see it very well from the picture, but the flags are shiny! I ended up with 500 cards for about 20 dollars, shipping included.
I also don’t want to forget to mention that the confetti featured here is photoshopped in. I got the file from a tutorial on Paper Pastries. Isn’t it great? I want to add this confetti to everything!
And now, I will tell you how to get your free glasses! Yes that’s right, they are completely free, prescription included. The only thing you have to pay for is shipping and any extras you may want. I got them from a company called Costal Contacts. First go to their website and pick the pair you want from their list of free glasses. Next, add your prescription, or opt for prescription free, then add the promo code FIRSTPAIRFREE at checkout. If you have any problems, you can call them with questions. My pair are listed as Joseph Marc 4034. What a great way to try glasses out that you normally wouldn’t buy!
